How To Play

FAQs

Please explain the difference between a “Play” and a “Drive” in Jukem?
A play is made each time you add green offensive cards to your drive. A drive is the Offensive cards played face-up in front of each player. A drive is also a series of plays that can be accumulated on one or more turns and is not allowed to exceed 100 yards.

What is the Jukem card?
The Jukem card is the most powerful card in the game. There’s only one in each deck. Play the Jukem card together with any Run play or Pass/Catch play and double the yardage of that play. When playing the Jukem card, shout “Jukem!” before placing the card on your drive. This informs your opponent they cannot play a defensive card against your play. One last thing: the Jukem card is always unstoppable! No defensive card can be played against it.

How many cards do you draw on each turn?
Always replenish your hand back to five cards at the beginning of each turn. Never have six or more cards in your hand.

What happens if I forget to draw enough cards on my turn?
Until you realize your mistake, you will have to play short-handed. The next time that you draw, replenish your hand back to five cards.

What’s the difference between the yellow and the red defensive cards?
The yellow defensive cards remove your opponent’s last play. The red defensive cards removes their entire drive.

I want to add a third or fourth player to the game. Should I play the Rookie or Jukem Football deck?
With three or more players, it’s best to play the Jukem Football deck or combine both decks together and play with all 112 cards.
